Rotary Burlington North is pleased to partner with other clubs in District 7080 in the ONEXONE First Nations School Breakfast Program. The Program was developed in partnership with the Assembly of First Nations (AFN) and PepsiCo Canada with the goal of ensuring the availability of healthy food to all First Nations children in the school setting.
Rotary Burlington Lakeshore pledged $100,000 to Habitat for Humanity to build a house for a family in need of a fresh start. Part of the donation included a build day where Rotary members went along to lend a hand. Paul Silva went along to the ribbon cutting ceremony to hand over the keys to the family that will live in it.
Each year Rotary Burlington Lakeshore donates $8000, to the Salvation Army Food Bank in Burlington.
Hamilton Food Share desperately needed a new truck to collect food from their suppliers, so they could continue their good work in the community. Burlington Lakeshore was very pleased to be able to contribute $5,500 to help them.
